A.) BAND CAMP

I mean. I did go on vacation to see the Drum Corps International championships in Indiana (ex: [link]). But band camp is the big thing right now in my mind...

Why? Well, yeah. First of all, I'm always madly in love with camp. I liked my first year, but this one was way cooler/ more fun/ more professional/ less major drama/ more good friends and good times. So many lame inside jokes were created, so many freshmen were stuffed into peoples' car trunks for lunch break at the plaza, so many hours were spent in the sun, so many blisters were formed and broken, so many sets were memorized, so many days were wasted fitting kids into uniforms while getting poked with a broom by Guerrero... of course there was some drama when Dan almost quit band right in the middle of camp, but he didn't in the end, so... good times, good times.

Plus Chris and I were flirting incessantly all week (which basically means physically abusing each other, which basically means me pulling his hair, but w/e.). [This would be lamer but I actually wore nice clothes and skirts and contacts and he had a beardddd and was super-awesome-shaggy in his lame-ass Motorhead shirts, why must you get rid of the beard loyola D:] It just got more and more intense and.. ah... yea... and tadaa

It gets better. Well, we had a performance for the parents an hour after camp (4:30), but we were 'doing stuff' in a back hallway and lost track of time. By the time we realized this fact it was ten to, so we're running around the band room and gathering up things. We would have made it... But no, i have to date the BASS DRUM kid (oyea he finally moved up from cymbals XD). And of everyone on Bass Line his HAS to be the biggest drum. I can discreetly go on field with a clarinet, but he can't with the damn drum, and i don't want to go out by myself, and the band was already on the field, and aaaaaaaaa

lol well, in the end the director didn't kill us, but since we were both conspicuously absent the band has an idea of what we were doing (no thanks to Dan, who is an evil spy)..

it's something stupidly embarassing that would happen to some dorks like us, but that's part of the adventureee haha let's hope it lasts awhile... I really like him in a weird way.
